La Sciamadda dei Vinaccieri Ballerini We are the result of a curious mix of Ligurian cuisine, Tunisian (the name comes from the island of Tabarca) and Sardinian. A story full of magic, curiosity, sacrifice, bets, sweat, emigration. The Tabarchina cuisine, sincere and genuine, is the result of tasty and original mixtures of three different realities with influences on Ligurian (pestu, fugasse, panissa, fainè) but there are dishes like the cascà (a vegetable cous cous) that are strongly influenced by Tunisian tradition. However, the tone is re-enacted, of which almost everything is eaten (stomach, esophagus, heart). The menu is essential with a preference, evident, for fish dishes. To taste the different types of chickpea flour, typical of the Genoese tradition – in addition to the classic, also the Crescenza and Pesto – the lasagne alla tabarchina (palamita – tuna – tomato and pesto) and the Cascà of fish and vegetables (Zuppa tabarchina of the exiles of Carloforte).

TerraMare was born in 2001 thanks to a little group of scientists, archaeologists and art historians to promote and enhance cultural and environmental heritage of the Eastern Liguria. Today TerraMare is environmental education activities, tailor made services for cultural, art, archaeological guided tours; specific guided tours for FAI, the Italian Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano (very similar to National Trust), to know the San Fruttuoso Abbey between Camogli and Portofino and Casa Carbone in Lavagna; opening, events, activities and tours at MuCast, the Archeological and Mining Museum in Castiglione Chiavarese, the oldest copper mine of Europe. We work with tourist and environmental guides, specialized in archeology, history of art and marine biology. TerraMare collaborates with the Institutions for the management and organization of tourist information and reception offices, for the realization of maps and guides, for historical researches, for the organization of exhibitions and events.
