Our fish restaurant m offers ancient recipes belonging to the Genoese culinary tradition and fish caught directly from our fishing boat. We use only fresh food.
Our fishing boat catch every day many kind of fish like shrimp, prawns, , mullet, and many other Ligurian varieties but especially octopus.
Octopus is owr speciality: we cook in two ways
The fist one is “Polpo Mario” that is steamed and very tender
The second one is “Polpo alla diavola” that is grilled and is owr invention.
We organize “pesto” corses made with “mortaio”, “mortaio” is a typical tool of the Genoese tradition.
If you have a group or other events We can prepare agreeded menu.
Our restaurant is housed in the backdrops of Palazzo Federici, a historic building dating back to 1500 used as a papal residence by the Fieschi family.
The Polpo Mario restaurant is located on the isthmus that divides the bay of fairytales and the bay of silence.
